Dr. Paweł Struś is an Associate Professor, geographer, and cartographer based in Krakow. He obtained his Ph.D. from Jagiellonian University, with research focusing on digital elevation models for representing high mountain relief. He currently serves at the Institute of Law, Economics, and Administration, University of the National Education Commission in Krakow, where he leads the Geoinformation Research Team.
His work spans physical, human, and geoinformation geography, with key interests in mountain geodiversity, environmental conservation, spatial analysis, and the use of OpenStreetMap in geographical research. He has also contributed to studies in biogeography and cultural geography, including wildlife movement and the socio-spatial perception of major European landscapes. Combining scientific rigor with cartographic design, he is committed to producing maps that are both analytically robust and visually engaging.
